A new matchmaker has joined the Kelleher ranks, and we’re delighted to introduce you to the latest member of the San Francisco matchmaking team. Erin Soskin is a small but mighty force dedicated to finding love for our Bay Area client base. Her motto? Leave no stone unturned. And that’s exactly what she does.

As a matchmaker with a psychology degree, Erin is good at reading what’s not being said and is skilled at connecting the dots. “I’m curious by nature and I simply love love. Walking with a client through a truly personal journey of discovery is an honor that I don’t take lightly,” she explained.

Erin finds many people struggle with keeping an open mind on a first date. Instead, they bring their mental checklist and tend to subconsciously get bogged down over-analyzing the stranger across the table from them. “Don’t overthink so much that you miss the chance to have fun and notice someone’s really positive qualities,” Erin warned. “Stay open! Keep it light and allow yourself the opportunity to be pleasantly surprised. You might give up one thing on your list but gain ten more you never knew you wanted.”

Erin mused, “I recently matched two clients who discovered they both dreamed of visiting every baseball park in the nation. That certainly wasn’t on their check list of must haves, but it definitely gave them some sort of confirmation they’d found their match.”

Growing up, Erin earned the nickname Santa because she finds satisfaction in finding the perfect thing for a certain person or occasion. “It is truly my greatest joy in life to bring someone something that simultaneously delivers them happiness. My role as a matchmaker is an extension of that. Finding someone a person to share a romantic relationship with, who is aligned with them on core values, brings me great happiness,“ Erin said.

When she’s not making matches for Kelleher, Erin explores Bay Area thrift shops looking for diamonds in the rough and combs the shelves of her public library looking for beautiful stories. It satiates her need to create a kinship with the world around her. “At Kelleher, I see the most beautiful connections forming around us and because of us. To know a marriage can begin with an idea, a matchmaker’s hunch… I love it!”
